LP washing machine 7 kg1400rpm
Like any new toy it takes some getting used to. In general the machine itself runs very quietly, the water hammer on the startup disturbs the neighbors in the building late at night, it is especially noticeable after 23:00, when the cheaper energy tariff starts and the surrounding environment is somewhat quieter. The 7kgs, 1400rpm I thought would be an advantage, less washings; the same centrifugal speed as my last machine, but unfortunately it doesn't do it for long enough, my older machine got it just that extra bit dryer. Sometimes it has difficulty finding the right balance, especially with polyester jumpers, due to the fact that there is no significant weight in them when they get wet, as opposed to cotton or woolen fabrics. It does comfortably fit my bed covers, blankets, large washes are not a problem at all and the smaller ones can sometimes take more time. Eventually the noise builds up during the centrifuge cycle and because I have my dryer mounted above it, then it starts to shake as well. If I mounted my dryer independently, then it would help reduce the noise factor once more.
In general, good price, mostly quiet, significantly quieter than most other machines in my experience at least, so for in my apartment it is ideal even when I have guests over, it goes unnoticed. It is the silly tunes at the end of the program that helps you remember that the washing machine was running. Tad disappointed that the clothes are not as dry at the finish as my cheap old Atec.
